Governor Yusuf expressed his disappointment over the fact that certain individuals who are against progress took advantage of the protest to cause chaos, thereby assaulting peaceful citizens in the state.

He stated that the curfew was imposed as a result of the disasters and severe difficulties brought about by those opposing progress, in order to prevent further property damage and deter additional chaos.

“As the chief security of the state, I wield the authority to announce a 24-hour curfew in this region.”
