Kano: FRSC’s records indicate 231 crashes and 205 deaths occurred within an 11-month timeframe
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps, or FRSC, between January and November, 231 traffic accidents and 205 fatalities were reported in Kano State.
In a conversation with journalists in Kano, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, the state’s FRSC Sector Commander, revealed this.

According to Abdullahi, 759 persons had injuries of varied degrees from the crashes that occurred during the period under study, involving 1,451 individuals in all.
He said that 692 people had been saved.
He claims that 33,324 cars were seized at that time for a variety of moving violations.
In that time, Abdullahi continued, the Corps prosecuted 931 traffic offenders and won their convictions.
“A total of 35,644 offences were committed, with the most common ones being overloading, speed limit violations, and driver’s licence violations,” he stated.
The sector commander also said that 198 of the 1,129 accused were released after being charged.
