Kaduna: Maro village, just one teacher is killed by bandits

The sole instructor in the Unguwan Dorowa Bakhira hamlet in the Maro community of Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has been slain by bandits.

During the early hours of Sunday, the bandits also killed a couple during their attack on the community.

Mr. Sunday Akor, the elementary school teacher, is a native of Benue State.

As per Maigari Ben, a community leader who verified the occurrence on Sunday, no one was abducted during the assault.

“They killed a man and his wife as well as Mr. Sunday Akor, a primary school teacher who was a native of Benue State,” he clarified. In this village’s elementary school, he was the sole teacher in the classroom. Nobody was taken hostage.

At the time of reporting, ASP Mansir Hassan, the Public Relations Officer for the State Police Command, could not be reached.
