This bill, proposed by Senator Ali Ndume, sought to give the Peace Corps official status as a government organisation and provide all active Peace Corps volunteers in Nigeria legal recognition.

The Peace Corps Bill, according to Fred Agbaje, “isn’t just about a group; it’s about hope for millions of young people who are out of work.” A better future might be unlocked with Tinubu’s cooperation.
