Rael Adesanya has thought back on his Sunday morning defeat to Alex Pereira in the UFC 281.

In Madison Square Garden, the fighter from Nigeria shockingly lost to Pereira through a technical knockout in the fifth round.

This is my third battle in ten months; I’ve been doing this.

Adesanya remarked, “Every time I fight, I run the chance of losing what you people consider to be prestigious — which it is — the title and everything that.

He also emphasized how the fifth round was when everything started to go south.

He had a dead leg as a result of a kick to the calf.

My peroneal nerve was injured, which is why my footing was poor.

“I had to perform the roly poly even after I tripped and fell backward. I toppled over because I was thinking, “Oh sh—, it’s not like me.”

Adesanya continued, “So, kudos to him for investing in those calf kicks because it cost me.

In a further suggestion that he might accept a rematch against Pereira, he stated, “I’ll be back, it’s not over yet.”
