Early on Tuesday morning, a Divisional Police station in Enugu State’s Isi-Uzo Local Government Area came under attack by armed individuals.
Despite the fact that no officers were reported killed during the attack, one of them is reportedly recovering after being shot.
Additionally, the shooters were able to transport away weapons and ammunition.
A resident suggested that the attackers drove a Toyota Sienna bus into the open police station at around two in the morning while yelling “Release Nnamdi Kanu” and “No Nnamdi Kanu, no peace.”
They entered through Eha-Amufu and left through the same axis, but it is unlikely that they reached the settlement of Eha-Amufu or crossed into Nkalagu because the soldiers would have run into them there. The source speculated that they might have travelled to Benue state via Aguamede.
A statement regarding the alleged attack has not yet been released by the Enugu State Police Public Command.
