The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, received a visit from his wife, Uchechi, who expressed her gratitude to Senator Ifeanyi Ubah for organizing the visit.

Mrs. Kanu stated that her mind had been at ease since she visited her husband in April and thanked Senator Ubah for his strong leadership within the Igbo community.

Prior to the visit, Mrs. Kanu had faced numerous obstacles in gaining access to her husband, but with the assistance of Senator Ubah, she was able to see him. During a radio address in the United Kingdom, Mrs. Kanu expressed her appreciation to Senator Ubah and other Igbo politicians, governors, and political office holders who were working behind the scenes to secure her husband’s release.

Senator Ubah confirmed the visit and explained that he intervened when he learned of Mrs. Kanu’s difficulties in visiting her husband, ultimately facilitating the visit on April 16 at the DSS facility.
