IPOB forbids Ejimakor’s brother and lawyer from going to Kanu’s DSS cell

Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, one of the attorneys defending their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and his younger brother, Emmanuel Kanu, have been forbidden from going to Kanu’s cell at the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Head of the State Directorate of IPOB, Chika Edoziem, signed a communiqué that contained this instruction.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is getting ready to have surgery while he’s being held, thus Edoziem said it’s important for his personal doctor to be there.

He asserted that Emmanuel Kanu’s health was at risk because Ejimakor and Kanu were choosing medical professionals who were unfamiliar to Kanu to serve as his personal doctors.

“The lead counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in the matter instituted against him by the Nigerian government, which is now before the Nigerian Supreme Court,” according to IPOB, who also dismissed Ejimakor and Emmanuel Kanu. “Barrister Mike Ozekhome SAN, assisted by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor and others.”

Therefore, any issue involving Mazi Nnamdi Kanu while he is being held at the DSS facility, whether it is connected to his health or not, must be brought to the lead counsel’s notice, the statement continued. Barrister Mike Ozekhome SAN, the primary attorney for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has ordered Barrister Alloy Ejimakor, Emmanuel Kanu, and anyone else working with them to reverse their actions and stop going to the DSS office with people they pose as doctors.

“The Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra can no longer accept anyone or anyones who put Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s life in peril while under DSS custody due to financial or other considerations.

For the avoidance of doubt, it was attorneys Mike Ozekhome SAN and Ifeanyi Ejiofor who persuaded the Director Legal of the DSS that it was crucial for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s personal doctor to get involved if any type of operation was to be done on him.

“Why are those posing as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s personal doctors at the DSS persons who were never present when the agreement was made to have his personal doctor engaged in deciding the matter of his surgery?

The attempt to pose as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s personal doctor without alerting the SAN is, to put it mildly, quite suspect.

The Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra wishes to inform IPOB families worldwide and Biafrans generally that if these people, specifically Barrister Alloy Ejimakor, Emmanuel Kanu, and those working with them (whose names are known to us), continue on the path they have chosen, they as well as the Nigerian government must be held accountable should anything untoward happen to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
