The government of Niger State has declared its intention to transfer schools that have been closed as a result of bandits and other lawbreakers to Minna, the state capital.
At the state Post EXCO briefing in Minna, Maurice Bello Magaji, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Lands and Survey, disclosed this information.
He clarified that the state administration made the choice to guarantee that students from the impacted areas will be able to finish their studies without interruption.

When asked if the state had given up on combating banditry, Magaji revealed that instead of letting the situation slide, the administration is making constant efforts to guarantee that security issues are resolved before the schools are moved back to their former places.
He said, “The State administration is working around the clock to battle banditry, and the affected pupils will be transported to Minna where schools will be established for them until the security crisis is resolved. This is as a result of Muhammad Umar Bago, the state governor, showing compassion for the impacted kids.
The commissioner also denounced state citizens’ trespass onto school property and urged them to immediately leave such locations.
All school properties that the public has encroached upon will be reclaimed by us, the government. Those who have overflowed into state territory will be offered alternative construction sites. Furthermore, Magaji said, “We are calling on Nigelites who have not yet begun the process of obtaining their Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to come out and begin the procedure.
