The new State House Medical Centre, which will serve the requirements of the presidential family, was officially opened by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.
The medical center will offer services to the President and Vice-President, their families, and other distinguished guests, according to Mr. Tijjani Umar, the Permanent Secretary of State House.
“The project brief, defining the aims, scope, and specifications for its completion in 2013, was created after the idea was conceived in 2012.
“However, a thorough geotechnical assessment and analysis of seven sites was not carried out until 2020, with the advice and agreement of Mr. President, for which he selected this site.
The facility, which has a 2,485 square meter floor area split between a suspended floor and a basement, was given to Julius Berger Nigeria, he added.
The facility, according to the permanent secretary, shows President Buhari’s dedication to putting all Nigerians’ health and wellbeing first.
The institution is outfitted with the most modern medical equipment of the highest caliber since it provides a wide variety of specialized medical services, including advanced diagnostics and treatment.
“Today with the glory of God all this was achieved due to the singular resolve and resilience of President Muhammadu Buhari to address this long-identified need for such a facility and bequeath a worthy legacy,” Umar remarked.
The First Lady, Aisha Buhari, was also thanked by the permanent secretary for her tenacity and activism in favor of enhancing women’s and children’s health in Nigeria.
The First Lady claimed that the development of the new facility was a result of her ongoing campaign for the enhancement of the health and wellness of all Nigerians.
Mrs. Buhari outlined how the new medical facility is outfitted with cutting-edge amenities, preventing the need for individuals to travel abroad for medical treatment. (NAN)
