In Ogun, another fuel tanker catches fire
On Friday, a fuel-filled truck caught fire in Ogun State for the fourth time in two days.
Earlier, on Wednesday and Thursday, two tankers crashed in Abeokuta and one other along the Lagos-Ibadan motorway.
The incident, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), took place about 12:55 in the morning along the Mosimi-Sagamu highway near Okedia.
Two people were involved in the incident, according to Florence Okpe, an FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, but “fortunately no injury or death recorded.”

Okpe said that the overloaded Mac tanker had no licence plate.
“Overloading was thought to be the reason for the lone crash.
She said, “The tanker slid back because of the high load, lost control, hit a barrier, and caught fire.
Men from the FRSC, TRACE, and the Ogun State Fire Services were on the scene to handle the issue, according to Okpe.
Okpe stated that efforts were still being made to get the impediment off the road.
