“I’m the Most Complete”: Ronaldo Declares Himself GOAT Over Messi, Pele, and Maradona
Cristiano Ronaldo confidently claims the title of the greatest footballer of all time, placing himself ahead of legends like Lionel Messi, Pele, and Diego Maradona in a bold new statement.
Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has confidently declared himself the best player in the history of the sport, placing himself above his long-time rival Lionel Messi, Argentina’s Diego Maradona, and Brazilian legend Pelé.
The debate over who deserves the title of the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) in football has been a hot topic for years, with Ronaldo and Messi often at the center of the discussion. Together, the two superstars have won 13 Ballon d’Or awards—five for Ronaldo and eight for Messi.
Historically, comparisons have also been drawn between Ronaldo, Messi, and football legends like Pelé, who won three World Cups, and Maradona, who led Argentina to victory in the 1986 World Cup. However, in a recent interview with La Sexta, Ronaldo made it clear that he believes he stands above them all.
Ronaldo’s Bold Declaration
“I consider myself the most complete player in football history. That’s my honest opinion. Some might say it’s a matter of preference, but I truly believe it’s me. I excel in every aspect of the game—heading, set pieces, shooting with both feet, speed, strength, and jumping ability,” Ronaldo stated in the widely shared interview.
He continued, “People have their preferences—whether it’s Messi, Pelé, or Maradona—and I respect that. But to say that Cristiano isn’t a complete player is simply untrue. I am the most complete. I don’t see anyone better than me, and I say that with all my heart.”
A Record-Breaking Career
At 39 years old, Ronaldo remains one of the most prolific goal-scorers in football history. Currently playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, he is closing in on an incredible milestone: 1,000 career goals. So far, he has scored 923 goals in 1,261 appearances for both club and country.
Despite his pursuit of the 1,000-goal mark, Ronaldo believes his achievements already solidify his place as the greatest player of all time. “Even if I finish with 920, 925, or 930 goals, I am the best in history. Period,” he asserted.
Ronaldo’s illustrious career has seen him play for top clubs such as Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. His remarkable consistency and longevity have cemented his legacy as one of football’s all-time greats.
