The police chief urged the recently assigned officers to forge close bonds between the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the communities they protect.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), released the following statement on Wednesday in Abuja: “The newly posted officers and their respective portfolios include DSP Ejire Adetoun Adeyemi to PPRO Kwara State; ASP Unah Paul Echefunachi to PPRO Ebonyi; ASP Rufa’i Ahmed to PPRO Sokoto; and ASP Musa Mohammed to PPRO Bayelsa.

In a similar vein, ASP Abuka Pius has been assigned as a Staff Officer to the Force Public Relations Department’s Public Complaint Bureau at Force Headquarters in Abuja.

“The Inspector General of Police urges the recently posted officers to work closely with the communities they serve, emphasising the importance of community collaboration in policing.”

In addition, the NPF announced that it had received printed curriculum, office furniture, fixtures, and equipment for one training school and three police colleges around the nation.

According to the police, the materials were obtained through financing from the Federal Republic of Germany and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to strengthen the capacities of the Nigeria Police Force. The Global Security-Sector-Reform Foundation (GS-Foundation) was the source of the funding.

According to authorities, the effort is a component of the Federal Government’s ongoing police reform project.
