If I started two players against Arsenal, Chelsea’s owner would murder me– Pochettino

The owner of Chelsea, according to manager Mauricio Pochettino, would “kill him” if he didn’t start two players against Arsenal.

In their matchup with the Gunners on Saturday night at Stamford Bridge, the Blues blew a two-goal advantage.

Pochettino named a good team despite missing a number of important players due to injury, notably Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, who each cost £222 million.

Despite arriving after their scheduled time from overseas service, Caicedo and Fernandez participated in all 90 minutes.

It’s absurd for players to return from South America on Wednesday and play on Saturday, according to Pochettino.

“But if I say ‘OK, I’m going to give them a rest,’ you [the media] will murder me, for sure if they don’t play – and the owner as well!

“Caceido and Enzo arrived today after playing two games in America, so they weren’t particularly fresh. However, they serve a crucial purpose for us.
