“I Inherited $587 Million, N85 Billion Debt from El-Rufai’s Administration,” New Official Claims

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State recently revealed the significant financial challenges he inherited from the previous administration, including a substantial debt of $587m, N85bn, and numerous contractual obligations. Despite this burden, Governor Sani expressed his commitment to utilizing the limited available resources to drive Kaduna State towards prosperity and growth.

During a town hall meeting, Governor Sani addressed a diverse audience comprising traditional leaders, religious figures, politicians, labor unions, civil society organizations, youth, and women groups. The presence of prominent figures such as former Governor Ramalan Yero and General Martin-Luther Agwai highlighted the importance of the discussions regarding the state’s financial situation and future prospects.

The Commissioner of Finance and the Budget and Planning counterpart also shed light on the financial intricacies and challenges faced by the state.
