Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, better known by his stage name of Iyanya, is a well-known musician from Nigeria. On Wednesday, he recalled how he begged the show’s organizers to let him perform for free in December 2021.
The 36-year-old musician said in a series of tweets that he played three shows in December 2021 but was only paid for one of them.
The Kukere singer, on the other hand, thanked God when his life got better in December 2022 and said that he had more than 20 shows planned in a single month.
He tweeted in December of last year, “I played at three shows; one was paid, and the other two I wasg to perform at just to be noticed.”
“In December 2022, I awaken each morning to show alerts; we haven’t had a December this busy since 2017 with 20+ shows.” God be praised.
