Heroic Act: Yusuf Saves Late Bayero’s Daughter from Lagos Eviction
The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, once again showed his generosity by stepping in to settle the rent bill for the Kano Princess and her mother at Morning Side Suits in Victoria Island, Lagos, just hours before they were facing eviction.
According to the governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Bature, the intervention came after an outcry in the media by Princess Zainab Bayero, who highlighted the neglect faced by her family after the passing of the late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero.
Zainab, her brother, and her mother had been struggling since the death of the late Emir due to inheritance issues, and the governor’s gesture was aimed at providing support to them in their time of need.
The governor’s representative, Bature, emphasised that the intervention was not only to assist members of the royal family but also to show compassion towards fellow Muslim brothers and sisters who required assistance.
