Gunmen in Abuja kill one person and abduct several others, including a chief and his wife
In the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, gunmen invaded the Mpape community, murdering one person and kidnapping eight others, including the GRA community chief.
According to what has been learned, the event happened on Wednesday night at around nine o’clock in the evening in the GRA neighbourhood outside of the busy town. A group of about thirty attackers broke into at least six homes, including the chief’s mansion.

Josephine David, a villager, claimed that her brother, the chief, Peter David, together with his wife and three kids, had been kidnapped.
The FCT Police Command and other local security organisations remained silent regarding the tragedy.
Remember that Mpape is not far from Abuja’s affluent Maitama neighbourhood.
