Guber Poll: Atiku takes charge of rally in Kogi, strongly criticizing Bello and APC for refusing PDP access to stadium
On Thursday, former vice president Atiku Abubakar stormed the historic City of Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State, urging the electorate to support the PDP’s candidate in the November 11 governorship election.
In order to eliminate the unfair policies in Kogi State, Atiku criticised Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello for allegedly refusing the PDP permission to hold a campaign rally at Confluence Stadium Lokoja. He also declared that it was time to remove the current APC from office.
“We held our demonstration at the party office after they refused to let us use the Osun State stadium. Ultimately, they were fired from the government mansion by the PDP. In an attempt to keep us from coming, they have now reserved all the hotels and refused us access to the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja. You all came to the party secretariat to demonstrate solidarity and support for Senator Dino Melaye in spite of what they did.

He believes that Kogi State would prosper and have decent government now that Dino Melaye is the governor.
“Dino is devoted, fearless, and laser-focused. He doesn’t murder people the way the current Kogi State government does. Atiku said, “I am pleading with you to go out and vote for people and defend your vote.”
PDP candidate Dino Melaye, speaking to a sizable gathering of supporters, pledged to rule the state with fear of God.
“I am the most educated, experienced, and exposed candidate among the eighteen governorship contenders,” he declared. It’s time to end Kogi State’s percentage salary system, corruption, layoffs, and pension nonpayment. Yahaya Bello wrongfully fired every civil servant. We’ll restore them all in three months. Any minor political party without a political fallopian tube should not be supported.
“I want the world to know that all of the locations for our rally have been denied by the current Kogi government. Those who support this regime halted our people as they were leaving Kogi East, and they are now being shot. Our followers came here despite what they did because they were fed up with Governor Bello’s despotism.
Idris Wada, a former governor of Kogi State, stated in a number of statements that the All Progressives Congress, in power, has caused the state to regress due to poverty, a poor economy, and underdevelopment, despite the PDP’s many accomplishments.
He declared that Kogites should terminate poor leadership, calling the seven and a half years of the APC in Kogi State a waste.
There were no percentage pay in place when I worked there. While employees kept grinning at the bank, salaries were paid when they were due. Massive progress was made when the Peoples Democratic Party was in power. However, this is no longer the case. The People State should free itself from tyranny at this point. They ought to cast their votes for Dino Melaye.
Senator Tunde Ogbeha, a former lawmaker from Kogi West, stated that it is time for the populace to save Kogi State from mismanagement.
Taking advantage of the occasion, Ogbeha warned the people of Kogi State not to be intimidated and reassured supporters that they will be safe on election day.
Former PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus added his voice to the call for a free and fair election to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and law enforcement.
On election day, he said, people must turn out and vote for his party because Kogi State needs to be repositioned badly.
