The Osun Progressives Youths in United Kingdom (O-SPYUK), a socio-political group, has issued a warning to Governor Ademola Adeleke regarding the termination of employment for over 20,000 youths who were previously hired under the administration of Adegboyega Oyetola in various government positions without any replacements being made.

Following Adeleke’s assumption of office in November 2022, he dismissed the 20,000 workers through an Executive Order, citing that their employment was unauthorized.

Despite this, O-SPYUK, represented by its coordinator Tunmise Ajiboye, expressed deep concern over the neglect of young people in the state during Adeleke’s administration.

Ajiboye highlighted the fact that many youths are leaving the state due to the absence of government initiatives aimed at nurturing their potential.

He emphasized the worrying trend of the current administration in Osun State failing to prioritize the well-being of young people, leading to an observable migration of youths to neighboring states like Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos.
