The loss of legendary Nollywood actor Adedeji Aderemi, also referred to as Baba Olofana, has been characterised by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as tragic and agonising.
In a Friday condolence statement, the governor added that Baba Olofana left a lasting legacy in the film business.

Adeleke said that Olofana’s passing represents the loss of one of the state’s greatest creative sector talents in a condolence statement released by Olawale Rasheed, his spokeswoman.
He extended his condolences to his immediate family, the residents of Edeland, and the motion picture business at large.
Baba Olofana lived a life filled with many accomplishments, which the governor urged them to find solace in.
Baba Olofana, also known as Aderemi Aderemi, was a delightful cinematic character whose works helped to further develop Yoruba heritage. Even after he is gone, people will remember the lessons he imparts on film and the enlightenment he brings about via his writings for years to come.
“I grieve his passing, fully aware of the exceptional talent he left behind. My sincere condolences go out to his immediate family, the residents of Edeland, the film industry, and everyone else who was impacted by this tragic event.
“I sincerely hope that they will have the fortitude to endure the trying time that his passage signifies. The statement said, “May Almighty Allah grant his aljanah fridaus soul.”
