Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the spokesperson for Kano State, has been promoted from Chief Press Secretary to Director General, Media and Publicity by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the state.
The appointment is effective immediately, according to a statement released on Thursday by Aliyu Yusuf, Director of Public Enlightenment at the Kano State Government House.

The governor’s appointment of Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo, Permanent Commissioner I SUBEB; Engr. Sarki Ahmad, Director General, Rural Access and Mobility Project; and Surajo Imam Dala, Director General, Cottage Trade and Street Hawking, were also announced in the statement.
The others are: Dr. Gaddafi Sani Shehu, Deputy Managing Director, Kano Hydro Electricity Development Company (KHEDCO); Abubakar Adamu Rano, Deputy Managing Director, Radio Kano; Hajiya Hauwa Isah Ibrahim, Deputy Managing Director, ARTV; and Dr. Dahiru Saleh Muhammad, Executive Secretary, Science and Technical Schools Board.
The announcement further said, “The Governor directed the new appointees to assume their new roles immediately, while congratulating them on their appointment.”
