Gov Uzodimma wins as Supreme Court dismisses Ihedioha’s suit
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State’s Emeka Ihedioha filed a plea with the Supreme Court, requesting a certificate of return designating him as the state’s legitimate governor. The petition was denied.

Because the Supreme Court had already named Uche Nwosu as the legitimate candidate of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, Ihedioha had convinced the court that Governor Hope Uzodinma was unable to seek for office in the first place.
In a decision read by Justice Tijjani Abubakar on Tuesday, the Supreme Court dismissed the motion on the grounds of lack of substance, describing it as pointless and intrusive.
It granted Mike Ozekhome N40 million in costs for taking the case before the judge.
