Gov Sani ensures secure transportation as rescued children are sent back home

In the midst of strict security measures, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state facilitated the return of the 137 kidnapped and rescued Kuriga school children to their homes on Thursday, March 28.

Along with this, he made a generous donation of N10 million to the family of their deceased teacher, who tragically passed away while in the bandits’ captivity due to health complications.

Governor Sani further promised that his administration would provide scholarships for the children of the late teacher, Malam Abubakar, up to the university level.

Isah Abubakar, one of Malam Abubakar’s children and a rescued pupil, witnessed his father’s unfortunate demise in the bandits’ hideout.

After returning from Abuja to bid farewell to the children following three days of psychosocial therapy at the Kaduna Women and Children Shelter, Governor Sani revealed that he would personally support the education of all 137 pupils and students up to university level through the Uba Sani Foundation.

He emphasized the importance of providing psychological support to the children, ensuring they received adequate counseling and therapy before their return home to their families.
