The Change We Need Nigeria Initiative (TCWNNI) convener Dr. Cosmas Ilechukwu has challenged politicians to deliver good governance rather than remedies to lessen the effects of eliminating fuel subsidies.

The statement was delivered by Ilechukwu, General Overseer of Charismatic Renewal Ministries (CRM), at the 14th TCWNNI Project event in Abuja.

Palliatives are not what Nigerians need; instead, we require effective government.

He declared, “If things are done right, we don’t need palliatives.”

He argued that it was past time for Nigerians to demand transparency and good leadership from the federal and state governments.

“It is our right; we must demand it. People should lead us well if we ask them to.

“That is the social contract’s fundamental idea.

“Let the shared resources we have left for you be put to use for the benefit of everybody.

Despite a few minor improvements since the project’s inception, according to Ilechukwu, there was still plenty to be done.

“However, we are unfazed and persistent. Perseverance is a component of prayer.

“Therefore, if you prayed today and didn’t receive all the blessings you requested, keep praying because we are confident that our God is a God who answers prayer.

Therefore, everything for which we have ever asked will be realised. That is my religion, he declared.

The scheme, according to the priest, was set up to include prayers for the nation’s leaders to ensure effective leadership.

Dr. Robert Agbahia, the chairman of the local organising committee, stated that the TCWNNI Project was a yearly gathering in October when they met to pray for Nigeria so that it may thrive.(NAN)
