The Red Devils were defeated by Manchester City by the same score three days before to this setback.

Ten Hag is now in charge of United’s worst season opening stutter since the 1962–1963 campaign.

“Last night we saw the Theatre of Dreams turn into the Theatre of Nothing,” Neville wrote. Every single United supporter is uninterested and uninspired.

“On the pitch, the players were in disbelief, the performances were appalling, and we could see the manager struggle.”

“We’ve had enough; we know how this ends, and we’ve seen it before.”
