Members of the Neighbourhood Watch in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State successfully apprehended four suspects accused of being specialists in stealing transformers and electricity wires across the country.
The suspects, believed to be from a South-South state, were caught in the act of attempting to steal a transformer in Akpoha, Afikpo Local Government Area, but were stopped by the vigilant members of the Neighbourhood Watch.
Allegedly, they were accompanied by a local resident of Akpoha who managed to escape and is currently on the run.

Michael Urom, the Commander of the Neighbourhood Watch, led his team in capturing the suspects and urged the public to report any suspicious activities to the authorities for immediate intervention.
He also mentioned that the suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
Despite attempts to reach out to the Ebonyi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu, by Obasanjonews.com, his phone was unreachable at the time.
