Former governors from Ekiti and one other individual conspired to remove me as the APC National Chairman- Adams Oshiomhole

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole has disclosed how he was plotted to be removed from his position as the head of the ruling party by Salihu Lukman, a former vice chairman of the party’s North-West division, and former governors of Ogun and Ekiti states, Kayode Fayemi and Ibikunle Amosun, respectively.

Oshiomhole concentrated on battling elected governors who supported the policies of the ruling party.

He revealed the information on Tuesday in Abuja during the book presentation of Salihu Lukman’s “APC and Transition Politics.”

Oshiomhole recalled that the author spearheaded the campaign that led to his “illegal” removal from office, along with a number of governors.

He claimed that after he took steps to establish party supremacy, the governors used every unlawful tactic under the book to get rid of him.

Lukman disregarded my leadership in multiple letters without giving me a call. There is only one place to go when you are riding a tiger.

Lukman was appointed by the governors’ forum in an undemocratic manner. Since I was a governor, I wasn’t consulted. We were informed that the APC Governors Forum’s new DG is this person.

For a meeting, I wrote to the governors. The governors refused, telling me to travel to Imo House instead of the APC headquarters. There [where the conference was being held] was Lukman. Oshiomhole stated, “He saw nothing wrong with that.”

Recalling the atmosphere at the meeting with the governors, Oshiomhole remarked, “It felt like I was in a military barrack.”

“None of you can lecture me about the power of a governor,” he declared in response to the governors’ tirades. since I served as governor twice. Eight years without a break.

“You completed a retest,’ I reminded Fayemi at one point. After being elected, you were defeated in your second term. It implies that you were unsuccessful. Since I didn’t take the retest, you are giving me power-related lectures. I am able to list a few of them.
