For another Northerner to succeed Buhari, It’s an insult – Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has criticized the choice of another Northerner to replace President Muhammadu Buhari. This is because he disagrees with Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Another Northerner becoming the nation’s leader after President Muhammadu Buhari, according to Wike, is an insult.

He said that people who spread stories hurt the feelings of Nigerians and don’t help the country come together.

According to a statement by Wike’s media assistant, Kelvin Ebiri, the governor spoke on Sunday at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Port Harcourt, the state’s capital.

“You play on people’s brains; you say Nigeria is not ready for a Muslim-Muslim ticket, and I agree,” said Wike. But is Nigeria ready for a single-zone presidency? Just take a look at the insult, I mean. You blow both cold and hot air.

The governor said that if the North chose Buhari’s successor for 2023, it would cheat other parts of the country.

“The majority of you just sit there; you don’t question yourselves.” Such subpar concepts are still being sold by someone. I concur with what you say, but take a look at what we’re stating here. You don’t ask the person.

“Your party wants President Muhammadu Buhari to come from the same region as the president.” Who is defrauding whom?
