FG releases plans for the 63rd anniversary celebration of independence
The 63rd anniversary of Nigeria has events planned, according to the government.
At the Monday World Press Conference in Abuja, Secretary of the Government of the Federation George Akume announced the schedule for the 2023 Independence Day celebration.
This year’s celebration is centred upon the idea of “Nigeria at 63, Renewed Hope for Unity & Prosperity.”
According to Akume, the schedule of events includes;
World Press Conference will take place on Monday, September 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the National Press Centre, Radio House Abuja.
Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 10 am, State House Conference Centre, Anniversary Symposium/Public Lecture
On September 29, 2023, a lecture will be held at the National Mosque Conference Centre at 10:00 am, followed by Juma’at Prayer at 1:00 pm.
Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 7:00 a.m., Presidential Broadcast
On Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 10:00 am, there will be an interdenominational church service at the National Christian Centre.
At 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Presidential Villa, there will be a military parade.
