The Federal Government is spreading anti-Igbo sentiment, according to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The Igbos were being discriminated against, according to IPOB, by the Nigerian government.
The IPOB spokeswoman, Emma Powerful, responded to the arbitrary detention and suspected exceptional killing of Igbos in the Southeast.
Over 20,000 Ndigbo Biafran agitators, in particular, are said to have been slain or reported missing after being kidnapped by the Nigerian Security Forces between 2013 and 2023.
The Southeast is the most militarised region in the nation, Powerful remarked.
“The arbitrary arrest, detention, and extrajudicial murder of Biafrans, particularly Ndigbo, by the Nigeria Police, Military, and DSS, using the instrumentality of their law, is purely based on ethnic hatred,” says Powerful in part of a statement.
“Both before and after the Biafra genocidal conflict known as the Biafra Civil War, there has been unrelenting ethnic animosity towards Biafrans.
The Biafra Self-Determination quest was started by IPOB, led by our intrepid leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU, in order to free ourselves from the unavoidable ethnic stereotyping and hostility.
It’s no longer a secret that Biafra land, especially the Southeast, has been militarised with racialized security personnel whose goal it is to kidnap Ndigbo for execution, organ harvesting, or material extortion.
“The Southeast Region of Nigeria is the most militarised region in the country. In order to justify its military occupation of the region, the Nigerian government frequently finances violent criminals in the Southeast.
