FCT: Wike Reaffirms Commitment to Supporting the Judiciary
In a recent statement, Wike vows to continue his unwavering support for the judiciary in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), highlighting the importance of a strong legal system for the nation’s progress.
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), stated that he will continue to support the judiciary regardless of any criticisms.
Wike emphasized the significance of collaboration among the judiciary, executive, and legislative branches of government during his speech on Friday at the commencement ceremony for the design, construction, and furnishing of an office annexe for Nigeria’s Body of Benchers in Abuja.
The former governor of Rivers State noted that the supplementary budget for the FCT already includes funds for constructing the Body of Benchers office complex.
The minister confirmed that there were sufficient funds for the project and expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his consistent support of the FCT Administration.
In response to the request for establishing a fire service station within the Body of Benchers complex, the Minister also promised that this project would be incorporated into the FCT’s 2025 budget.
He stated that we can be confident a fire service station will be established within this complex by 2025. He assured the Body of Benchers that he intends to make them proud and demonstrate significant improvements in governance.
