Wike, a PDP leader, worked against his own party during the 2023 presidential election. Since then, he has been named to President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has cautioned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against kicking Nyesom Wike out of the party.

Wike, a PDP leader, worked against his own party during the 2023 presidential election. Since then, he has been named to President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

Despite the alleged anti-party activities of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Fayose is cautioning the PDP against pursuing the former governor of Rivers State.

Some feel that Wike should be fought, expelled, or fired. They probably act that way at their own risk. You know, even in the face of terrible circumstances or conflicts, the first rule of family life is to avoid alienating your wife or spouse. Wike is a power in the PDP and beyond the PDP, a force you cannot ignore, he stated on Friday night’s episode of Hard Copy, a prerecorded programme on Channels Television.

“Ignore Wike, dismiss Wike, or engage Wike in combat at your own risk. He is a capable man, he remarked.

He thinks the PDP needs to try to rehabilitate itself after finishing second in this year’s presidential election.

Fayose stated once more that the southern portion of Nigeria needed to produce the president since it might have been unfair for the northern region to have done so. The former governor does not wish to leave the main opposition party, the PDP, despite his disagreement to the party’s choice of Atiku Abubakar, a northerner, as its candidate for the election.

“The moment I am not in the PDP, I would never join another political,” he declared. And regardless matter how good or horrible they are, I would never join the APC.

Additionally, he refuted rumours that he had left the PDP.

Away from politics, Fayose discussed the recent coups in Africa and blamed them on the “sit-tight syndrome.”

The PDP leader despises military interference in politics, but he is “very happy” with how things have turned out in Gabon since soldiers took over the oil-rich country in Central Africa.

“They must kick him out of the place in a country where one man is spending 30, 40 years,” he insisted.
