Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in the 2023 general election, has stated that his party is ready to take over the governance of Imo State come November 11th governorship election.

Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, stated that the party’s national leadership will work hard to guarantee that Imo becomes one of its stronghold states in the southeast geopolitical zone.

He stated this in a statement signed by the media officer of the NNPP governorship candidate in Imo State, Mr Joshua Elekwachi, shortly after a courtesy visit to Abuja by the Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Uche Ben Odunzeh, and his running mate, Godstime Chukwubikem Samuel.

Kwankwaso, on the other hand, admonished Odunzeh to be steadfast and focused, and to ensure that he does not jeopardise the faith of his people, especially if he is declared the winner, but guaranteed him of the Party’s full support.

Kwankwaso also cautioned party members in Imo, as well as the candidate, Odunzeh, to work efficiently with the party leadership to guarantee that Imo is captured for the NNPP.

Earlier, in a statement, gubernatorial candidate Odunzeh committed to work hard to unite all stakeholders and party leaders, especially as the election approaches.

He asked the party’s national leadership to guarantee that all hands are on deck in order to deliver the state to the party.
