Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, stated that the party’s national leadership will work hard to guarantee that Imo becomes one of its stronghold states in the southeast geopolitical zone.

He stated this in a statement signed by the media officer of the NNPP governorship candidate in Imo State, Mr Joshua Elekwachi, shortly after a courtesy visit to Abuja by the Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Uche Ben Odunzeh, and his running mate, Godstime Chukwubikem Samuel.

Kwankwaso, on the other hand, admonished Odunzeh to be steadfast and focused, and to ensure that he does not jeopardise the faith of his people, especially if he is declared the winner, but guaranteed him of the Party’s full support.
