Ori’s previous professional roles include serving as the South-East bureau chief for Hallmark newspaper. Recently, in 2021, he assumed the position of Managing Editor at News Echo newspaper before co-founding Oriental Newspaper – a weekly publication based in Owerri, Imo State.

Ihedioha parted ways with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after twenty-plus years and is anticipated to join forces with the Labour Party (LP).

Although he has not yet joined any political party, it appears that Ihedioha is likely to affiliate with the Labour Party based on his consultations with potential presidential candidate Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti of Abia State. In addition, Rebuild Imo Movement – Ihedioha’s campaign group – has expressed their willingness to align themselves with the LP.
