In a stunning upset, Nottingham Forest hands Manchester United their second consecutive defeat in the Premier League, with a lackluster performance from the Red Devils.

Nottingham Forest handed Manchester United their second consecutive Premier League loss on Saturday, triumphing 3-2 over Ruben Amorim’s squad at Old Trafford.

In the second minute, Nikola Milenkovic put the visitors ahead, but Rasmus Hojlund equalized shortly after.

At the beginning of the second half, United faced another setback as Morgan Gibbs-White struck again, followed by Chris Wood extending the lead to 3-1.

Bruno Fernandes delivered an impressive shot from just beyond the penalty area to boost United’s spirits shortly after the hour mark, but it ultimately wasn’t sufficient.

Amorim began his tenure at United last month with a draw and two subsequent victories, although he anticipated the team would “suffer for a long time” as he worked to enhance their performance.

The harsh reality is setting in after a 2-0 loss to Arsenal midweek, followed by the defeat at home against Forest.

In the second minute, Milenkovic left United’s goalkeeper Andre Onana stationary with a powerful header from a corner—the third consecutive goal United had allowed from such set pieces.

The home team equalized in the 18th minute when Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels could only deflect Alejandro Garnacho’s shot, allowing Hojlund to steer it into the net.

Forest had another explosive start to the second half when Gibbs-White launched a swerving long-range shot that got past Onana.

In the 54th minute, Forest increased their lead as Wood capitalized on further defensive uncertainty.

Fernandes scored after a composed build-up by Amad Diallo, who set up the United captain to curl it into the back of the net.

The victory elevates Forest to fifth place in the Premier League standings, while United remains stuck at 13th position, leaving Amorim with a significant challenge ahead.
