This Sunday’s highly anticipated matchup between Arsenal and the third-placed champions will take place at the Emirates thanks to Guardiola.
The former Barcelona manager thought Arsenal would be a title contender, along with Liverpool, for the Premier League, despite his insistence that the game would not determine City’s title campaign.
Along with Liverpool, Arsenal will be a title rival. The objective is to look at the first 10 games to examine the contenders; we haven’t played 10, so we’ll have to wait, but the major teams are always in it,” Guardiola said during a press conference on Friday.
