Election in Sokoto: Fayose rejoices over Governor Tambuwal’s defeat
Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has praised the defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State.
According to Obasanjonews24, Ahmed Aliyu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, by a margin of 453,661. 404,632 people voted for Saidu Umar of the PDP.
In a video response, Fayose expressed his delight that Aminu Tambuwal, the candidate for governor of Sokoto State, had lost the election while sipping wine.
He said Tambuwal had abandoned both the party and Governor Nyesome Wike.

“I am happy with Governor Tambuwal’s defeat in the Sokoto election. You know, there comes a moment when valuing a guy will pay off.
“In 2015, he betrayed the party and then fled. He deceived the Asiwaju he met in the APC and Wike, who shortly sponsored him in 2019. Now is the time for retaliation.
“I am grateful that Sokoto residents rejected Tambuwal in the election.
“I advised you to cast a no vote for him once more in the senate run-off. You are lovely people, and God is aware of human events. Tambuwal is no more.
