The National Intelligence Agency’s (NIA) Director-General, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, has been sued by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Due to Kanu’s eight-day detention in Kenya, Ejimakor filed a lawsuit against the NIA DG.

Ejimakor claimed in court records obtained by Obasanjonews24 that he had proof implicating the NIA DG in the extraordinary rendition case.

“I filed a lawsuit against Ahmed Abubakar, the director general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), for detaining Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya for eight days without cause.

The lawsuit was brought based on recently found material that went beyond the famed extraordinary rendition to involve the DG/NIA.

After military personnel broke into his home in the Afara-Ukwu region of Abia State, Kanu left Nigeria in September 2017.

However, Kanu was detained in Kenya in June of last year and then subjected to extraordinary rendition.

He was imprisoned in Kenya for eight days before being sent home.
