EFCC Interrogates Fayemi Over Alleged Money Laundering

A team of investigators is questioning him regarding allegations of misappropriation of about N4 billion in funds during his tenure.

Mr. Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti State, is presently being questioned by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) agents.

According to credible sources, the former governor of Ekiti State arrived at the Commission’s Ilorin Zonal Command at approximately 10 a.m. today, June 1st, 2023.

A team of investigators is questioning him about allegations of misappropriation of approximately N4 billion in funds during his tenure.

According to reports, the agency’s invitation was put on hold for a few weeks to ensure a seamless transition.

Today’s release of the former governor remains uncertain.
