EFCC Arrests 100 ‘Yahoo Boys’ in Enugu and Recovers Exotic Cars

Officers from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Enugu Zonal Command have detained 100 alleged online scammers, also referred to as Yahoo Boys.

On Wednesday, the suspects were taken into custody in various parts of the state.

A post on the EFCC’s official X feed stated that the arrest came about as a result of actionable intelligence regarding the possible operations of an organised syndicate of online scammers operating in the Enugu city, specifically along Ibagwa-Nike.

They were found to have three exotic automobiles, laptops, and cell phones.

The article states that after the investigations are over, the suspects would be charged in court.
