Speaking at the Combined Special Prayer for Nigeria and President Bola Tinubu in honor of Easter and Ramadan, Sanwo-Olu addressed a diverse audience of Muslim and Christian leaders at the State House Mosque Complex in Alausa, Ikeja.
He expressed optimism about the positive changes taking place, highlighting the recent improvement in the value of the Naira.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of this economic progress being reflected in the markets, urging vendors to adjust their prices accordingly.
He stressed the need for the cost of essential commodities like rice, beans, and tomatoes to align with the strengthening currency, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and compassion among citizens.
The Governor expressed gratitude towards the President for his leadership and collaboration with sub-national entities, which have contributed to the positive developments being witnessed.
He encouraged everyone to embrace the season with peace, moderation, and a commitment to upholding the peaceful and harmonious reputation of Lagos State.
