At Abioro Community, Sango Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, the state, agents of the Ogun State Police Command have taken one Afolabi Taiwo into custody.

The So-Safe Corps assisted the police in apprehending Afolabi, age 23, “after attempting to carry out a felony,” according to information obtained by OBASANJO NEWS24.

Nov. 1, 2023, “when Afolabi jumped into the compound of the complainant in Abioro Street,” according to Omolola Odutola, the Ogun Police spokeswoman, who made this announcement on Friday.

According to Odutola, Afolabi was apprehended at the site after the complainant sounded the alarm, drawing the attention of the neighbours.

Upon further inquiry, Afolabi admitted to belonging to the forbidden Eiye Confraternity Cult Group. In 2020, in Ajah, Lagos State, he admitted to being introduced into the cult, according to Odutola.

She maintains that the revelation is crucial because it will enable the police to obtain more information and quicken their pursuit of other individuals linked to Afolabi’s testimony.

Her compliments went to the police and So-Safe Corps for their cooperative effort that stopped Afolabi’s purported attempt to commit a crime and netted him an arrest.

In the continuous battle against crime, Odutola continued, the arrest of the culprit was just one step.
