According to Odutola, Afolabi was apprehended at the site after the complainant sounded the alarm, drawing the attention of the neighbours.

Upon further inquiry, Afolabi admitted to belonging to the forbidden Eiye Confraternity Cult Group. In 2020, in Ajah, Lagos State, he admitted to being introduced into the cult, according to Odutola.

She maintains that the revelation is crucial because it will enable the police to obtain more information and quicken their pursuit of other individuals linked to Afolabi’s testimony.
