Duncan Mighty took break from music to pursue PhD

Nigerian singer Duncan Mighty has expressed his determination to obtain a Doctorate of Philosophy degree, PHD.

In a recent interview with 3Music TV in Accra, Ghana, the ‘Port Harcourt First Son’ artist revealed that he took a break from his music career to focus on his education.

Duncan Mighty proudly shared that he already holds an MSc in Acoustics from Freiburg University in Germany.

He emphasized the importance of equipping oneself beyond talent and music, stating that education is a crucial aspect of personal and professional growth.

Duncan Mighty highlighted the challenges he faced while studying at an international university like Freiburg, which required him to learn Dutch for six months before being admitted.

Despite the difficulties, he expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity and stressed that education is an invaluable asset that stays with a person even in old age.

He encouraged his fellow musicians to prioritize education, emphasizing that talent alone is not sufficient in the competitive music industry.

Furthermore, Duncan Mighty cautioned his colleagues about the importance of being educated in the recording business.

He warned that without education, individuals may fall prey to those who are waiting to exploit their talents and achievements.

Duncan Mighty urged aspiring artists to take their education seriously and pursue it with determination, as it is a vital component of long-term success.

He concluded by affirming that he is not yet finished with his educational journey and intends to pursue a PhD in the future.
