Adetutu Adedokun, the DSS employee who plunged into the Lagos Lagoon, has received an update from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

After a furious argument with her fiancé on Thursday, Adedokun leaped into the Lagos Lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.

In a statement, LASEMA’s permanent secretary, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, denied reports that the woman had been saved from the Lagoon.

He said that rescue efforts had been abandoned and that an effort was currently being made to pull her remains from the lagoon.
