DSS To Collaborate With Sister Organizations For Tinubu’s Inauguration on May 29
According to the secret police, some people are fervently trying to sabotage the process, but they will face resistance.
The Department of State Services (DSS) has promised to collaborate with sister organizations to ensure Bola Tinubu’s smooth inauguration as President of Nigeria on May 29.
According to a statement released by the DSS on Tuesday, Peter Afunanya, the secret police will fight against criminal forces scheming to obstruct the transition to democracy alongside other security organizations.
The DSS statement comes about 24 hours after Usman Baba, the Inspector General of Police, warned politicians who have railed against the ceremony and claimed that Tinubu did not win the February 25 election, which is being challenged in court, that the date of President Muhammadu Buhari’s handover and the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate as President remains sacred.
In particular during this transitional period and even after, the Service wants to make it extremely clear that it will work with sister agencies to purge the country of criminal elements.
“This is especially true because some people are trying to sabotage the process. However, the Service will fend off this and guarantee a smooth occasion. It will continue to work with interested parties to create the peaceful climate needed for law-abiding citizens and locals to pursue legal businesses.
