Drake makes history as first artist to achieve 100 billion streams on Spotify

Drake, the Canadian sensation, has over 100 billion Spotify plays overall.

The rapper was made “the first artist in history to earn a milestone 100 billion streams on Spotify,” according to a Tuesday night announcement from music tracking company Chart Data via X.

Compared to the next closest rapper, Eminem, he has more than twice as many streams.

Drake has had 100 billion Spotify plays overall. An average song receives 234 million plays, while an album receives an average of 5 billion plays.

His 2016 smash single “One Dance,” which features British pop sensation Kyla and Nigerian Afrobeats musician Wizkid, has received 3.2 billion plays on the platform, making it his most streamed song.

“One Dance” is the first song to reach one billion Spotify plays, according to the Guinness World Record.
