Days after losing his belt, Adesanya was detained at the airport
Israel Adesanya, a UFC fighter of Nigerian descent, has been detained by security agents at JFK Airport.
This occurs just four days after he was defeated by Alex Pereira for the UFC middleweight belt.
Adesanya was apprehended close to the American Airlines terminal at JFK on Wednesday afternoon, shortly before 2 p.m. local time, while passing through security checks, according to TMZ.
