In a recent statement, Dangote Refinery has denied allegations of selling petrol (PMS) within the price range of N1,015 to N1,028 per litre, clarifying its pricing policies.

On Saturday, Dangote Refinery dismissed as false the claim that it sells petrol at prices ranging from N1,015 to N1,028 per litre.

According to reports on Friday, certain oil marketers indicated that the price of petrol from Dangote Refinery ranged between N1,015 and N1,028 per litre.

They mentioned that importing the product from the international market would be sensible, given that as of October 31, 2024, the landing cost was N978.01 per litre.

In response to the development, Dangote Group took to its X handle to label the allegation as “fake news.”

stated that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) alleged that, as of last week, fuel prices at Dangote Refinery were higher compared to other locations.

Yakubu Suleiman, the National Assistant Secretary of IPMAN, mentioned this on Friday during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show program.

Suleiman mentioned that IPMAN members would seek locations where prices are lower and profitability is achievable, emphasizing the need to consider the plight of Nigerians.
